Frank Urbanic — Criminal Defense Attorney, Oklahoma City

With relentless dedication, advanced training, and a tech-savvy courtroom practice, Frank Urbanic defends the rights of individuals across Oklahoma. As founder of The Urbanic Law Firm, he brings military discipline, business acumen, and constitutional conviction to every case.

Why I Practice Criminal Defense

I became a criminal defense attorney because I am intimately familiar with how precious our constitutional rights are. After my own arrest years ago, I realized how close I was to being in a situation that could have negatively impacted my life forever. That experience made it clear to me how important it is to have someone on your side who fights fiercely and effectively to protect your rights.

Earlier in my career, I served in the U.S. Air Force — putting my life on the line to defend the Constitution during war. Today, I defend the Constitution in the courtroom. My legal career began by representing indigent clients, and I saw firsthand how critical proper representation is for every person. That is why I make every effort to make high-quality criminal defense accessible to as many people as possible.

  • M.B.A. — University of Oklahoma, Master of Business Administration
  • B.B.A., Business Management — Texas A&M University
  • Military Service — Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Air Force Reserve and AWACS Reservist
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt through the University of Oklahoma College of Engineering

Professional Highlights & Experience

Since entering practice in 2015, Frank has built a reputation for “efficient, effective, and relentless representation.” He founded The Urbanic Law Firm with the goal of combining high-level trial advocacy with lean business operations, enabling clients both great representation and exceptional value.

  • Owner & Lead Attorney, The Urbanic Law Firm, PLLC — Oklahoma City (2015–Present)

DUI Training

Frank has attended the same classes law enforcement officers attend to learn about impaired-driving arrests. Very few attorneys nationwide have attended these courses, and even fewer are qualified to teach SFSTs to law enforcement officers—as Frank is. Frank uses the officers’ training materials to pick apart every aspect of a DUI/DWI/APC case.

  • Graduate of the Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Practitioners Course
  • Graduate of the Advanced Roadside Impaired (ARIDE) Course
  • SFST instructor – Graduated the SFST Instructor Course
  • Graduate of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation’s Forensic Science Academy
